The Tooth is Gone, But There’s No Money Under the Pillow!

This is what I woke up to yesterday morning.
My daughter lost her second tooth right before bed the other night. We decided to put it under the pillow she doesn’t sleep on– she didn’t want to crush the tooth or anything. So around midnight, the toothfairy takes the tooth and slips the money under the pillow. Simple as can be. Alarm goes off at 6:30 a.m. and my daughter turns to look under the “extra” pillow only to find that her brother is now asleep on that pillow. She turns on all the lights, looks under the pillow, under the bed… the tooth is gone, but there’s no money. But wait, what’s that in her sleeping brothers hand, aah, the money!
He looks up at me half asleep and says, “Mom, I felt something under the pillow, so I put it in my hand.”
As you can imagine, the money was yanked from his hand (by my daughter) and with a little huff, she left the room to go brush her teeth. This is one I don’t think we’ll ever forget!
