SharpMom’s Movie Review: The Break Up
My girlfriend and I left the husbands at home and went to see The Break Up last week. Though the guys were more than willing to see X-Men: The Last Stand, they weren’t too excited about The Break Up.
We had a good time without them, (or maybe it was just being without the children that was good) but we both agreed that the guys were right, they wouldn’t have loved it. There was a lot of fighting, complaining and nagging as the couple “broke up,” (you know how men LOVE nagging) that even we found a little depressing. But, overall, it was a good movie. Once you got past the fighting and into the jealousy and revenge, I really started to laugh.
But seriously, the best part was seeing Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn together. They are a cute couple. Too bad they had to”break up” in the movie. Hopefully they will have better luck in real life.
My favorite movie review site, Rotten Tomatoes, gives The Break Up an overall average of 4.5/10. I think that’s a little harsh. I’d say about 6.5 is fair.
