Mommys Have Time for Makeup Too!
As you know, I love to share my favorite things with my SharpMoms. And,as SharpMom.com continues to grow, people are now even sending me stuff to try out (I feel like Oprah!). But, as I tell everyone,I have to keep it real. So, I personally try or check out everything I receive and/or hear about and only pass the best onto you!
Today, we’re talking about my latest discovery, Mommy Makeup, “designed for chic Moms on-the-go!” Mommy Makeup is a makeup kit that allows you to do your entire face with only a few products. And, for those moms that really need help, the kit even comes with a “Paint by Number Instructions & Face Chart.” It’s really fool proof!
Each kit comes in a range of five shades, from light to dark. And, my favorite part is you can choose from a Pretty-n-Polished or a Clean-n-Casual look. I tried both kits in the “Light Medium” color family. I personally preferred Pretty-n-Polished. I get fair in the winter and I need some extra color. The Clean-n-Casual kit gave me a nice glow, but it wasn’t quite enough for me.
To give you an example, here’s what you get in the Pretty-n-Polished kit:
- Mineral Powder SPF 8 - This is your foundation. It’s light and super easy to use! Goes on like powder.
- “Mommy’s Little Helper” Concealer - If you are over 30, don’t fool yourself, you need concealer! This one goes on light but covers great. One of my favs!
- Mineral Bronze-n-Blush - Two nice blush colors to use together or seperately.
- “Eye Triplets” - Three eyeshadows in one. Can be used lots of different ways.
- Lush Mascara - Love, love, love this one! If I could only have 2 things in my makeup bag it would be mascara and lip gloss. This mascara has a great brush, goes on smooth and doesn’t clump or smudge.
- “Mommy’s Kisses” (lip gloss color) - This is really cute, the lip liner is hidden in the top of the handle. I tried the color “Madison” and loved it and so do all my girlfriends!

I love the “kit” idea because then I know all the colors I’m using work together, but items can also be bought individually and they have some great makeup brushes and other “add-ons.” My favorite ”add-on”is the Mineral Shimmer Powder (pictured to the right). I’m using the Flush of Pink color and brushing it all over my face. I just love the glow it gives me.
