It’s Fall Break. Are You Looking for Something to Do? (Tip of the Week)
Want a family get away, but you can’t afford a trip to Disney World? Try experiencing nature for a few days and take your family to a state park.
I live in Texas and sadly never visited any of our state parks until about two years ago. But, they really have a lot to offer. It’s a cheap vacation and so much fun for the kids. Of course, almost all of the parks offer tent camping. But tents really aren’t my thing. However, we have visited a couple parks that have air conditioned cabins, which is really nice, or even nearby family-friendly hotels. That way, you can experience nature during the day, (i.e. hiking, canoeing, fishing, swimming in the lake, etc.), but still sleep well at night!
Check out your state’s park system and don’t forget your camera!
