Drowning Dangers
I was skimming through my July Parents magazine and there it was, the story that keeps us SharpMoms awake at night, “Drowning Dangers.” Every summer you hear the stories of the toddler that accidentally fell into the pool and it’s just heartwrenching.
Here’s the harsh reality: “About 800 children–the number of students on 11 full school buses–drown every year,” according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “Drowning is the leading cause of injury-related death among children ages 1 to 3, and the second-leading cause among kids under 15.”
