Create a Beautiful Thanksgiving Table

fall festive

It’s Thanksgiving and most stores aren’t open today. I know it’s kind of late to be giving you Thanksgiving table tips, but I saw an article last night called, “Fall’s Foxiest Entertaining,” and I had to pass it along. I loved the color schemes they suggested. And, I was thinking, you could shop the sales on Friday and pick some stuff up for next year– while Thanksgiving is on your mind!

My favorite suggestion is the brown and white theme with touches of wine. They suggest a chocolate velvet table runner accented with white dishes and burgundy flowers and napkins. So rich and beautiful and wonderful for Fall.

There are also a few quick and easy things you can do (maybe even this morning) that will make your table more festive:

  • Fresh flowers are always a great table center piece and you don’t have to spend a fortune– just pick up a bouquet at the grocery store!
  • Fill the table, the dining room and even the house with candles to provide a festive ambiance.
  • Fold your napkins in a special way. Look online for design ideas that are easy and quick.
  • Use place cards. This works best for larger groups, because it shows you put a lot of thought into your dinner.
  • Decorate your plates. Use grapes, cinnamon sticks, silk flowers, etc. to enhance your cake dishes and platters.

I hope you find some tips that work for you. I would like to wish a very Happy Thanksgiving to all the SharpMoms out there! I am very thankful for your readership and support! Have a great holiday.
