Monopoly Here and Now World Edition Review

Are you looking for a great way to spend quality time with your family while teaching them an important lesson in geography? Then look no further then the latest edition of the board game Monopoly, Monopoly Here and Now World Edition.
Hasbro, the makers of Monopoly, have developed the newest edition to the Monopoly family, Here and Now World Edition in response to the public’s desire for a game that reflects the popularity of world travel. Actually, the newest edition is the first international edition of the popular board game ever released. In place of the traditional properties of the previous versions of the board game, the new edition incorporated popular cities from around the world.
Hasbro did research on what properties to add to the board game by allowing more then 6000 million people worldwide to cast a vote for their favorite cities from around the world. The most votes were cast for the city of Montreal which has now taken the place of the most expensive property, Boardwalk in the original game. Riga, Latvia was cast as the second most popular vote and joined Montreal in Park Place’s original place on the board.
Voters were also asked to cast a hand written vote for their favorite city that was not included on the list of cities to be voted as well. The cities that boosted the most write-in votes included Taipei, China, and Gdynia, Poland, which now hold a place on the board replacing some of the original least expensive properties from the original Monopoly game board. The Community Chest and Chance cards were also updated to include famous events held world wide as well. For instance, such events as New York City on New Year’s Eve and Running of the Bulls in Spain are now reflected in the updated cards.
Hasbro has outdone themselves again with the newest version of Monopoly, Monopoly Here and Now World Edition. It is sure to be a game your family will never get tired of playing. Plus, the updated properties, as well as the updated Chance and Community Chest cards will give the kids a chance to learn about interesting cities and events from around the world all while playing with the family and having fun.
