Celebrity Gossip Update

April 22, 2007

We haven’t done one of these in a while and there are a few juicy things to talk about.

First up, People magazine (along with every other entertainment magazine) is reporting that Reese Witherspoon has hooked up with Jake Gyllenhaal. Those two seems like a good match.

Next on the list, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have reportedly moved in together. They are sharing a condo in New York City.

In other romance news, Katie Couric is dating a much, much younger man. Entrepreneur Brooks Perlin, 33, and Katie, 50, have been together for 6 months now (I missed that one!).

Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger continue to fight over custody of their daughter, Ireland. This has been going on for more than 3 years now. The latest development involves a nasty voicemail message that Baldwin left for his daughter for missing a scheduled phone call. This is the first I’ve even hear of Kim Baldwin in quite a while. I wonder what she’s been up to besides fighting with her ex?

And, finally, Britney Spears continues to keep herself in the spotlight by doing lots of crazy stuff!

So, that’s the SharpMom celebrity Gossip update… for now!

A Brother for Maddox

March 15, 2007

I guess Maddox didn’t like having two little sisters. E!Online announced that Angelina Jolie is in the process of adopting a little boy from Vietnam. However, at 3 1/2-years-old, the latest addition to the family will actually fall between Maddox (5) and Zahara (2) making Shiloh still the youngest child at 10 months.

Two boys followed by two girls. The makings of a perfect family. But, Brat Pitt claims the two would continue to adopt until they had enough children for a soccer team. Wow!

Academy Awards Wrap-Up

February 28, 2007

My most memorable Academy Award moment was a sad moment… when Eddie Murphy did not win Best Supporting Actor. And as if that wasn’t disappointing enough, I now hear that Eddie left after his loss! Some reports say he stormed out while others insist he had planned to leave after his category all along. Hmm, no matter how you look at it, probably not a good idea Eddie.

Well, even though I loved Dream Girls and was rooting for Eddie, Little Miss Sunshine was a great film and it wouldn’t have been the same without Alan Arkin. Congrats to Alan.

And now, let’s talk about Oscar fashions. I loved Jennifer Hudson’s dress, but it was a lot better without the jacket. I was glad to see she took that off when she went up to accept her Oscar. I thought Nicole Kidman looked beautiful and so perfect. How is it possible that she looked that perfect? Reese Witherspoon is looking great with her long, straight hair and I loved her dress, but boy is she tiny! Helen Mirren was lovely and I still haven’t seen The Queen! I thought Penelope Cruz’s dress was a bit much, but her hair was great.

Well, those are my Oscar fashion thoughts. Check out Glam.com’s best dressed list.
