It’s time for a new SharpMom poll. And, the question is…
What’s your favorite reality TV show?
- The Amazing Race
- American Idol
- The Bachelor
- Big Brother
- Dancing with the Stars
- Project Runway
- Survivor
- Other
If you select “other,” please add a comment to SharpMom.com and let us know what your watching.
There are so many reality shows now– really something for everyone. I’ve watched all of the ones listed except for The Amazing Race, I’ve never seen that show. I’ve gone through phases of being addicted to various ones. Some of my favorites over the past few years have included American Idol, The Bachelor, Survivor and Big Brother. Currently, Dancing with the Stars tops them all for me. I love that show! Probably because I always wanted to be a dancer.
Let us know which ones you can’t stop watching!
Rosie’s Time Short-Lived on The View
April 26, 2007
I never really watched The View before Rosie joined the ladies. I always enjoyed Rosie on her show and was sad when it went off the air. Then, last year, I started tuning into The View to see what Rosie had to say.
I think she’s done a great job, I know she’s improved the show’s ratings and I’m sad to see her go. But, even though I’m a Rosie fan, lately some of her strong opinions are too much for me. I usually end up fast forward through the political debates she and Elizabeth get into. I’m not sure which one of them annoys me more! But, I guess that what keeps the show exciting!
This morning, I caught the first five minutes of The View live (while at the dentist) and heard Rosie explain that she’ll be leaving the show in June since she was not able to come to a contract agreement with ABC. Hmm, is this really the reason she’s leaving? Well, either way, it’s too bad! No telling what turn the show will take now as Barbara Walters has two seats to fill!
Rosie said that she’d be appearing as a special guest thoughout the year to discuss topics that are important to her, but that she would no longer be a regular at the table. After the show finished taping, Rosie told the studio audience that she was interested in joining the revival of “Les Miserable.” So maybe Rosie’s next move is Broadway.
Let us know what you think about Rosie’s departure.
Where Do You Plan on Taking Your Summer Vacation? (Poll Results)
April 25, 2007
As it turns out, most of our SharpMoms (45%) are putting the kids first and taking Summer vacations to fun parks, such as Disney.
That’s where we are going. I’m really excited and my kids are too, but I’ve heard from most parents that we’ll need a vacation to recover from the vacation! There’s just so much to do at Disney and if you try to pack it all in, I imagine you leave exhausted.
Another 27% of SharpMoms report that they are going on a tropical/beach getaway. These are my favorite vacations and my kids love the beach too. Also coming in at 27% is visiting relatives, another fun thing to do in the Summer when there are fewer schedules to keep up with. I was surprised to see that no one was taking an outdoor adventure. I always thought when my kids got older that they would love a Summer vacation to the mountains.
Thank you all for voting and enjoy your Summer getaways! Watch out for a new poll coming later this week!
