So What’s A SharpMom?

A SharpMom is:

  • A woman who is intelligent and wants to make a difference in the world
  • A woman who loves her children and is committed to helping them find their way in life
  • A woman who is supportive of her husband (if she’s married), with her own interests and dreams
  • A woman who understands that she can’t take care of her family unless she’s taking care of herself
  • A woman who knows how to laugh and have fun!


katandkids.jpgMy name is Katie Byrd and I’m the proud new owner* of SharpMom.com. I’ve been successfully working at home and homeschooling my kids for the past 14 years, so I figured it’s time to get out there and start sharing what I’ve learned (and continue to learn!).

My intention for this site is to meet a lot of great moms, help new moms learn what they need to know, for everyone to have a place to share their own experiences and last, but definitely not least, to show women that they can have it all – a happy, healthy family life and a successful career – all on their own terms.
