ABC Takes the Lead in Primetime
We are four weeks into the new Fall TV season and Walt Disney Co.’s ABC takes the lead in network ratings among the 18-49 year-old viewers, according to the article “ABC, Far from Lost or Desperate, Starts off Strong.” And, that’s not hard to do when you have three of the four highest-rated shows: Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy and Lost. Plus, ABC’s Ugly Betty gets the prize for most watched new series so far this season. When total viewers are considered, ABC still has three of the top four shows: again Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy along with Dancing with the Stars.
I’m a fan of all of these shows. I simply love Grey’s Anatomy. I’m not sure yet where Lost is going this season, but anxious to find out! I’m also not sure where Housewives is going, and I’m a little scared to see where they will take that one. It’s becoming a little extreme. Ugly Betty is a cute show and Dancing with the Stars is just pure fun! Go Joey!!
So, what’s on CBS and NBC? Well, CBS has CSI and its two spinoffs. So far this season, CSI has come in first place for total audience and tied for first place with ABC for the 18-49 demographic. NBC has ER, the new Sunday Night Football broadcast and a new drama, Heroes, which I have not watched, but my husband says it’s great. Let us know what you’re watching!
