Helen Mirren is The Queen

The QueenI finally saw the movie, The Queen! And, now I can say absolutely for sure that Helen Mirren deserves every award she’s won this year because she was awesome in the film and she is The Queen. She looked so much like Queen Elizabeth II it was unbelievable.

The movie was good, but not exactly what I expected. It took place almost entirely during the time of Princess Diana’s death. I personally loved Princess Diana and I was glued to the T.V. coverage of her death, funeral, etc. It was really interesting to see this film showing the queen and the palace’s perspective of the situation. I enjoyed the movie and found it every enlightening, but better than the film was Helen Mirren’s acting.

If you haven’t already seen it, it’s a must see! It’s a good girl’s night out flick!

The film received great reviews from Rotten Tomatoes, 8.5/10.
