High Heels for Running?
November 10, 2006
Well, maybe not running, but apparently you can really walk in these high heels. After watching Oprah last week and hearing about this new line of shoes from Cole Haan, I had to check it out.
Cole Haan has a new collection called Cole Haan Nike Air. The shoes have that great Cole Haan look (and price, unfortunately), but conceal NIKE AIR cushioning making you feel like running in your high heels.
On the Cole Haan web site, they have them sorted by Dress Air and Casual Air categories. I think this is a brilliant idea! After all these years we’ve been suffering!
I haven’t tried any of the shoes on yet for fear that I’ll like them too much (they range in price from $150 to over $400 for some of the boots). But, if you have tried them out, please let us know what you think. If not stayed tuned, maybe I can pick up a pair for a special occasion (my birthday is this month)!
Maybe You Can Be a Stay-at-Home Mom

Want to be a stay-at-home mom, but not sure if it makes financial sense? Check out the second income calculator on the MSN Money site.
The calculator walks you through a series of questions, such as annual income for each wage earner, work and lifestyle expenses, child care costs, etc. It also factors in taxes to determine whether or not it makes financial sense for both parents to work.
Of course, the calculator can’t compute all the emotions that go into the decision of whether to be a working or stay-at-home mom, but at least it will help you decide if you can still pay the mortgage on one salary!
