What’s Your Fitness Program? (Poll Results)
November 13, 2006
The votes are in, and well, it looks like most of us (over half in fact) enjoy the less strenuous workouts like walking, yoga and pilates.
I’ve been reading a lot of information lately that claims these workouts are really better for us anyways. They are less stressful on the joints and provide us with long, lean muscles and flexibility. Jennifer Aniston says she does yoga several times a week and who doesn’t want to look like her?
For your reference, here are the SharpMom results:
- Walking: 33.3%
- Yoga/Pilates: 28.6%
- Jogging/Running: 19%
- Cardio Classes: 4.8%
- Healthy Eating: 4.8%
- Weight Lifting: 0%
And, there were also 9.5% of you that don’t have a work out program.
Thanks for your votes and watch out for a new poll later this week.
Don’t Forget About the Little Black Dress (Tip of the Week)
November 13, 2006
Having trouble finding the perfect dress for a holiday party? Don’t fret, you’ll always be in style in your little black dress. Even your grandma had one. It’s been around for 80 years!
I was reading People over the weekend and there was an article called “Black Magic” that talked about how Coco Chanel introduced the little black dress in a 1926 issue of Vogue. I had no idea that there actually was a distinct moment in time when we were first introduced to the concept of the little black dress.
“Fashion trends may come and go, but for 80 years one item has been a staple of every woman’s wardrobe: the little black dress (thank you, Coco Chanel!).” People, November 13, 2006.
If you don’t have a great black dress in your closet, I think you know what you need to do!
